Day Three

Last night I had a dream. It involved the Tangible Dark. It was telling me something about the black Pikmin, but I couldn't quite make out what it was saying entirely. All I heard was something along the lines of:

"You... ed by th... lack Pikmi... on the ni... of eternal li......."

What of that I could piece together is:

"You... ed by the... black Pikmin... on the ni... of eternal light"

Could this have to do with the gold and silver Pikmin? I don't know, but I just let it pass for now. Most likely one of those dreams you have once because of something you had seen.

Well, when I finally woke up I saw what I suppose is the fighting beauty outside of the Dolphin. It was very nice. Not as beautiful as the Dolphin, but nice. Something that really caught my eye was the obviously new layer of green paint. The Dolphin needs to be repainted; maybe blue or orange, but I'm tiring of red. Anyway, Louie, Arlowag and I made our way into the Foggy Jungle and got out the Pikmin. I decided I should explore the entire landscape of this area before making my next decision, so we split up: I would go forward, Louie would go left, and Arlowag would go right. I don't know what they did, but here is what happened with me...

I started going forward, but before long, the eyes of all of the black Pikmin turned deep blue. I wondered what was going on, but within seconds a large, golden bulborb dropped from above. A golden bulborb! I've never discovered this before! Well, I threw my Pikmin on it to fight it, and found out what's different about these bulborbs: when they die, their bodies disappear! What force makes their bodies vanish in a puff of smoke like so is unknown to me, but I intend to find out!

I continued walking until I reached a rock wall blocking me from continuing. I started to feel dizzy, until I finally fainted...

Some time later I woke up, dazed, wondering what had happened. If it weren't for the computer that is my helmet, everything that had happened today would have been gone from my memory. Anyway, I woke up with Louie and Arlowag on either side of me, and a black Pikmin on my stomach. Something wasn't right, though... the black Pikmin! It's eyes were glowing green, and so was it's usually orange leaf! Once it saw me awake, it closed it's eyes and fell. It had died. I asked Louie what had happened.  Apparently, their trails all lead to where I was, and when they saw me they quickly carried me to the landing site, and when they checked my pulse, my heart wasn't beating! I had been dead?! Then they said that the black Pikmin motioned that it could save me, it started the color change, and before long I woke up. The black Pikmin gave it's life... and retrieved mine? Could this be what was in that dream?

"You will be saved by the black Pikmin"? But what was the other part? No, this couldn't have to do with the dream. But that doesn't change the fact that I owe the black Pikmin everything. Well, it was almost the end of the day, so I decided I should just go back to the ships and dismiss the Pikmin to their Onions. Louie and Arlowag stayed out a little longer, though. I wonder what they're doing... well, I shall see in the morning.

Day Two

After a good night's sleep, I awoke today quite ready to begin exploration. I perused the areas I had previously visited from the sky. I quickly noticed the major ones; the Impact Site, the Valley of Repose, the Perplexing Pool... but then I had a new idea: I should go to the other side of this planet! I browsed the other side, and decided to go to the biggest area I could see. As I delved into the area, it was quite foggy... perhaps I shall call this area the "Foggy Bog," or the "Fog Arena"... ah! I will call this place the "Foggy Jungle" based upon it's foggy region of forestation. I landed in the Foggy Jungle and quickly noticed there were no monsters or foes around... only shadows. This probably means that they are all hiding in the trees around me. I thought I saw a creature that looked like and inverted-color white Pikmin, but I blinked and it was gone. Ah, must be the fog messing with my vision. Anyway, since I didn't notice any Pikmin or Onions around besides the whites and purples, I decided to look for a cave. Strangely, I didn't find any. My sensor on my helmet received a message; it was from Sacho, Hocotate Freight's president. He said that he had a new employee  who would be disembarking with Louie to come to this planet, and wanted to know where I was. I told him, and he told me some about Arlowag, the new employee. Arlowag seemed to be a respectable person; not at all a bad man, just a bit... fast, I should say. He jumps to conclusions hastily. None to much for me to handle, though. He said that they would be leaving tonight in Arlowag's dual-passenger ship, the Fighting Beauty. Well, I suppose that means that this is my last day by myself. I get more done by myself, so I decided to look for someplace to explore. I found that about four of the trees had dugouts in them, so I chose one and began to explore.

These dugouts weren't much different than caves; the only major difference was that you go up rather than down. As I finished off the rest of the foes on the first floor, I looked toward the geyser that would shoot me to the next level and thought I saw that thing again, but got a better look this time. What it looked like was a Pikmin no bigger than a white pikmin, black in color, with big yellow eyes. Once again, as soon as I blinked, it vanished. Happening once is a coincidence, but twice means something is going on. I shot up the geyser to the next level.

Before long I was on the 7th floor, but there were no geysers. I know what this means.

Final floor.

Usually on the final floor there is some type of big boss. I took my Pikmin and started to look around when all of a sudden, a huge shadow like creature rose from the ground! This was not like other creatures I had faced; whenever I tried to attack it,  it just phased into the ground! It's way of attacking was letting out a loud ghostly wail that scared the Pikmin and caused them to run around, then filled the room with a large freezing ball of darkness. Thankfully my spacesuit protected me, but the Pikmin were temporarily frozen. When one was frozen, he picked it up and ate it, then the other Pikmin unfroze and waited for me to call them. After loosing about 7 white Pikmin and 10 purples, I finally found out what to do: when he shrieked, keep my whistle blowing so that they would stay with me. Then when it was charging it's ball of darkness, I hid with the Pikmin behind a wall. This would confuse him, and while he was confused I could attack him. On the last try, the Pikmin whipping him with their leaves, buds, and flowers, the monster I decided to name the "Tangible Dark" gave up. He let out a final wail, the Pikmin came running to me, and then something I never expected happened: out of the puddle of tangibly wet darkness rose a black onion, and the puddle disappeared. I walked over to it, the onion slightly brightened, and just like old times it popped up and a single seed popped out, planted itself in the ground, and sprouted. Here's the weird thing, though: the leaf wasn't the regular shade of green I'm used to; it was orange. I plucked the sprout to find a short black Pikmin staring at me contently. This was what I had seen! It had the short body, the yellow eyes, just like before! But if this is the first, then what had I seen below? Was it merely a mirage, or possibly something in my mind that knew I would see it soon? It didn't matter; what really caught my eye was this Pikmin's ability; it could slowly seep into the ground, move around as a shadow, and pop back out as wanted! Astounding! I called this Pikmin to me, and quickly a few pellet posies, the flowers that drop pellets that the Pikmin can bring to their Onions for the number of Pikmin indicated on the pellet, appeared. At the end I had a total of 36 white Pikmin, 29 purple Pikmin, and 25 black Pikmin. By that time night was falling, so I found a hole in the tree toward the back, dropped down, and left the first floor of the tree back to the Dolphin. Hopefully the black Onion will fly out into the night sky with me and the rest of the Onions. It did, and before long I found myself falling asleep.

Day One

Hello.

My name is Olimar. I am a long-time employee at Hocotate Freight, and that has sent me spiraling into many great adventures. About a year ago, I was given a vacation of 40 days. On day 10, I decided to go on an intergalactic exploration, and crashed in to an asteroid that not only destroyed my ship, the S.S. Dolphin, but also left me stranded on an uncharted planet with life support that could only last 30 days - the rest of my vacation. I was overly fortunate to find myself taming creatures that I named "Pikmin" based on their resemblance to Pik Pik carrots. They helped me find all of my ship's parts, and when I finally got back home, I learned that my company had run in to some financial difficulties. The president of the company had sent a new employee - Louie - on a mission to deliver a large order of extremely expensive golden Pik Pik carrots to another planet. Now I will tell you what he said and what really happened. What he said that about halfway through the journey, he met a ravenous space bunny that attacked the company's ship and stole the carrots. What really happened was that he had been sent out with an empty stomach and halfway through, he got so hungry and was tempted by the carrots that he ate them all, then turned back and reported the false story to the president. This lead to Louie and I returning to the Pikmin planet to regain the lost 10000 Pokos that had been lost as a result of the "stolen" Pik Pik carrots. When I returned, it turned out that Louie had been left behind, so the president offered to go with me. By the time we returned to Hocotate with Louie, we had stripped the planet of it's 201 treasures, equalling a total of 26,985 pokos, making the company rich.

Well, today is when my third adventure started.

Well, the first thing that happened was that when I returned to Hocotate, the president allowed me enough pokos to repurchase my beloved ship. As I was taking my personal belongings back out of the company's ship I realized we had never let the purple and white Pikmin out of the ship! Somehow, they were able to breathe without their poisonous oxygen. I decided to use the advanced technology of the present to do something I should have done previously - I created Onions for them. Onions are the things that the Pikmin travel and live in. Once that was done, we blasted off, heading toward the Pikmin planet. Once we got there, something terrible happened - my ship ran out of energy! I couldn't find any energy on this God forsaken planet, but what quickly caught my eye was a small etching on a rock. It read:

"The Pikmin of red, yellow and blue,

they seem to have taken a liking to you.

As have the purples, and so have the whites,

Now you can find the ones that make lights"

How strange! There are more Pikmin besides the ones I have found? Including ones that create light, which can probably be converted to energy? This is great! But that is not all the rock said. It also included:

"You can also find black, orange and green,

ones that are nice, and ones that are mean.

You will find some young, you will find some old,

but the ones with importance are silver and gold"

So let's see what I need to add to my list of Pikmin to find:

Light creating

Black

Orange

Green

Silver

Gold.

I'm guessing that the gold, and maybe silver, Pikmin will be the light creators, so hears what I need to discover/rediscover:

Red

Yellow

Blue

Purple (CHECK)

White (CHECK)

Black

Orange

Green

Silver

Gold.

Well, it is about time to get some rest, so I guess I shall say farewell... until next time.
